Owner & Funeral Director
A native of Savannah, Georgia, and a United States Army veteran, Joe began his career in funeral service in 1990. He graduated with honors from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 1992 and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Georgia and South Carolina. In 2003, Joe was awarded the professional designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner or "CFSP" from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Initial certification for this designation required 180 hours of voluntary continuing education and community service. Throughout his career, Joe has been involved with many civic, charitable and community organizations. He is a 32⁰ Scottish Rite Mason, Past Master and former Secretary of Frank F. Baker Lodge #46, F&AM, member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the Loyal Order of Moose, and sits on the Board of Directors of Coweta F.O.R.C.E. Joe is married to the former Ms. Kristy Ellsworth, a Newnan native and second generation small business owner, and their blended family consists of 5 children, Jessica, Katy, Brooke, Collin, and Maddox, and 2 grandchildren, Asher and Jaxson. Joe and Kristy attend Foundation Christian Church.
