Obituary

Mr. Troy Lee Strickland, 77, of Senoia, died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at the home of his son.

Born April 7, 1942 in LaGrange, he was a son of the late Jack Theodore Strickland and the late Beulah Merle Perryman Strickland.  Mr. Strickland was of the Pentecostal Faith and started Strickland Painting in 1980, which is still in operation today.  He loved his family and enjoyed fishing and gambling.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Strickland.

Survivors include his wife, Earlene Strickland; sons, Troy Strickland (Krystal) of Senoia, Lonnie Thaxton and Ronnie Thaxton, both of Newnan; daughters, Tina Thaxton of Franklin, and Darlene Burrier (George) of Molena; sister, Bonnie Baron of Macon; grandchildren, Matthew Strickland, Theo Strickland, Dylan Strickland, Kyra Strickland, Dawson Strickland, Danielle Herrin, Kailyn Burrier, Zach Burrier, Ashlee Frazier, Sunshine Frazier, and Lonnie Thaxton, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Casen Hunley, Brantley Burrier, Tinlee Frazier, and Jaston Lindsey.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Bryan Calhoun officiating.  Interment will follow in Sargent Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
