Mrs. Tonia Jo Spain, 77, of Newnan, widow of the late Henry Rutledge Spain, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Born December 30, 1943 in East Point, she was a daughter of the late Albert Jolly and the late Virginia Ophelia Fordham Poore. Mrs. Spain was of the Baptist Faith and loved Jesus, she was very faithful and is now reunited in Heaven with her husband of 60 years. She was the best mother and grandmother and was always there for her family. Mrs. Spain had a big heart and was an ardent Trump supporter and a Patriot. In addition to her Husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gerald Whisenhunt.
Survivors include her sons, Don Spain (Belinda) of McDonough, and Steve Spain of Newnan; daughters, Cheryl Jones of Newnan, Sherry Whisenhunt of Moreland, Sondra Wilson (Jimmy) of Hogansville, and Ginger Dewberry (Tracy) of Luthersville; brother, Jack Poore of Griffin, sisters, Jackie Coker of Jasper and Sandy Parker of Villa Rica; grandchildren, grandchildren, Tiffany, Brandon, Holli, Krissy, Mellisa, Cory, Josh, Justin, Ashlyn, Ashley, Kala, Candis, Sara, Nick, Chasity, and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Eli, Alexandria, Steven, Israel, Hunter, Ansley, Jayden, Landon, Kylen, James Henry, Cheyenne, Zachary, Austin, Brady, Ryleigh, Carter, Jack, Wyatt, Waylon, Henry, Dylan, Lukas, Liam, Grayson, and one on the way.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her residence with Pastor James Swanger officiating.
