Susan Jean Lynch

Susan J Lynch, 75, of Newnan, Georgia, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

Born May 1948, in Snohomish, Washington, she was a daughter of the late Carl Raymond Cummings and the late Doris Violet Matthews Cummings. Susan's father instilled a love for performance cars. Her favorite car was a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302. She took great pleasure in showing fellow drivers how slow their "fast" cars were. Susan held many roles during her life from daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, retail store manager, Clayton County clerk(retired) and a school bus driver for Coweta County. Susan was diagnosed with lupus in 2009, and despite being and older women, she fought in order to live the rest of her years out as comfortable as she could. She was so strong and braved every day of pain, not ceasing to be a great grandmother to me and even those with no blood relation. She got up every day and took care of the dogs, took care of herself, made sure to clean & cook dinner no matter her limitations because that's how she was raised. It’s difficult to say goodbye but also comforting to know she is no longer in pain. One thing we know for sure she is cooking her famous pecan finger pies ...

We love you & will miss you dearly as will so many other people.

Susan is survived by her sister, son, daughter, two grandchildren, and extended Lynch family & friends that considered her mom.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
