Steven Bach Obituary

Steven Allen Bach, 78, of Newnan, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Born on April 23, 1942 in Van Nuys, California, he was the son of the late Roland Bach and the late Virginia Anderson Bach.   Mr. Bach grew up in Fallbrook, California, and cherished fond memories of rural living, and especially of his classmates, many of whom went from kindergarten to high school together, graduating from Fallbrook Union High School in 1960. He pursued higher education in Mexico City, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.  Mr. Bach worked for TWA and Pan American airlines. He was married to Joanne Elizabeth Palko, and they made their first home in New York City and subsequently in Newnan, Georgia where they enjoyed lasting ties with friends and neighbors. He received a degree in landscape design and practiced that profession in the Newnan area. He was a great lover of languages, travel, horticulture, dogs, and wildlife. Joanne preceded him in death in 2007.

Survivors include his sister, Marjorie Bach Mota, and her partner, Ken Luke; and nephew, Daniel R. Mota.

Services will be private.  His family wishes to express gratitude to his many friends in Georgia who comforted him in his last years.
