Steve Dyer

Mr.  Steve Gordon Dyer, 61, of Franklin, died Friday, February 21, 2020 at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange.

Born November 11, 1958 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Jewel Junior Dyer and the late Rochelle Leola Waller Dyer.  Steve was a member of Centralhatchee First Baptist Church and the retired business owner of Dyer & Son Logging.  Steve loved helping others and had the gift of fixing just about anything.   Steve enjoyed being outside working in the shop, fishing, boating, and kayaking.  He was also a big sports fan and loved the Georgia Bulldawgs.

Survivors include his wife Glinda P. Dyer; son, Jason Dyer (Maddy) of Newnan, and Michael Dyer of Franklin; sister, Vicky A. Chapman (Thomas) of Franklin; and grandchildren, Melissa Harris, Rachel Dyer, Shawn Dyer, and Taylor Dyer.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Mark Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
