Mr. Stanley Sutton, 82, of Newnan, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Born June 14, 1942, he was the son of the late Walter James Sutton and the late Sarah Jewell Couch Sutton. Stanley grew up in the East Newnan Village, and he fondly recalled happy memories growing up with his many friends. He was a humble, hardworking man. He was a carpenter by trade, and his sons grew up working with him in the summers, where they learned the value of hard work, honesty, and integrity. After he retired, he dedicated himself to maintaining the building and grounds of his beloved church, East Newnan Baptist. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who greatly loved his family. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Sutton-Beall.
Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Sutton (Angie), Terry Sutton (Jennifer), Christopher Sutton (Amy); grandchildren, Lindsey Sutton, Lauren Holloway (Jeff), Trip Smallwood (Heather), Sutton Beall, Sarah Inzana (Ernie), Anna Shelton (Connor), Will Sutton, Emily Whitney (Joseph), Jessica Butler (Vincent) and Savanna Sutton; 10 great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Barry Beall (Beth).
