Mrs. Sherry Hamil Taylor, 70, of Dallas, Texas, widow of the late Richard Taylor, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at the home of her daughter in Dallas to be reunited in Heaven with her husband and family, and her dog, Freckles.
Born April 25, 1951 in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Brooks Hamil and the late Reber Davies Clayton. Sherry was of the Baptist Faith and loved helping others. She enjoyed horseback riding and training, and crocheting. She also dearly loved her dogs, Taylor, and Gia. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Roxanne Bowles, and a sister, Cecilia Wilson.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Beth Muthu (Vedimuthan) of Dallas, and Kimberly Josette Bishop (Brian) of Newnan; brother, Cecil Brooks Hamil, Jr. of East Point; sister, Shirley Blackwell of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Micah Kim, Michael Thrasher, Lissa Cuellar, Bryan Cuellar, Raeleigh McArn, Joseph McArn, Jonah Bishop, Haley Bowles, Jennifer Bowles, Jessica Bowles, and Michael Bowles; 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
