It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sister Shari Bakken who lives in Newnan Georgia. Shari went peacefully on January 8th, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Shari was the daughter of Orin and Terry (Mary Ellen Teresa) Bakken who both left us in 2008. She will now be dancing in heaven with our parents. She is survived by her siblings Terry Bakken, Jimmy Bakken, Laura Mullins, Karen Calhoun and Mark Bakken. Nieces and Nephews, Celeste Miller, Cody Bakken, Rachel Dasilva, Olivia Bakken, Stephen Williams, Jenna Bakken Samanta Bakken, Kristina Prewett, Jeffrey Calhoun, Julie Hale, Angela Mingas, Kelly Simonelli, Sean Mullins, and Haley Ildhuso who she loved like her own children. In addition, she has 16 great nieces and nephews who all loved their Great-Aunt Shari dearly.
In her early years Shari was a junior Olympic swimmer, a cheerleader and loved to support her hometown football teams. She was an accomplished Computer Programmer and was the Tech guru of the family even before there was such a thing as Facebook or Iphone’s. She was a foodie and loved to travel and listen to music. Her hobbies later in life were bitcoin and playing the stock market. She lived life to its very fullest and will be terribly missed by all those that knew and loved her. Until we meet again Shari…
