Robert Bishop Obituary

Mr. Robert Tommy Bishop, 76, of Newnan, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation in Newnan.

Born April 10, 1944 in Senoia, son of the late Floyd Bishop and the late Frances Stitcher McCoy. He made his living as a truck driver and retired from Bonnell Aluminum. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed attending Monster Jam events and dirt track racing. He was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Angela Renee Bishop; sister, Debbie Bishop; and brothers, James Bishop and Michael Bishop.

Survivors include his daughter, Candy Bishop Lee (Dan); son, Robert Kenneth Bishop (Terri); grandchildren, Cody Howard (Whitney), Jessica Lee and Amber Bishop; great-grandson, Michael Howard; sister, Shirley Arrington; and a host of other family members and friends.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Graveside funeral service will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Doug Blackmon officiating.

The family of Mr. Bishop would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Avalon Health and Rehabilitation, for all the love, care and support given to Mr. Bishop during his time there.
