Richard Wesley Turner

Loving husband, father and grandfather, Richard Wesley Turner, 72, of Newnan, passed away on October 17, 2023, at Wellstar West GA Medical Center in LaGrange.

He was born on June 21, 1951, in Atlanta to the late Joseph Turner and the late Betty Collett Turner.
Over his lifetime, Richard established himself as a proficient painter and a dedicated worker, enriching the city of Newnan with his skills for over thirty years. He was of the christian faith, an avid fisherman, and huge fan of NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include his loving wife, Deborah Turner; daughter, Nicole Stover (Joshua); sisters, Kim Woody (Arthur), and Bridgett Escovedo (Charles); grandchildren, Taylor Congo, and Christopher Chosewood; nieces Lorina Zavala and Sabrina Woody; and nephew, Jonathan Dutton.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor T. J. Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home on Sunday.
