Mrs. Peggy Cheek Adams, 72, of Senoia, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at her residence.
Born April 12, 1948 in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late Melvin A. Cheek and the late Nadine Gentry Cheek. Peggy was of the Methodist Faith and was a fixture in the Senoia community. She served as the Postmaster in both Senoia and Concord and retired from the U. S. Postal Service. She raised Australian Shepherds and had operated a Charter Kennel since 1972, she also enjoyed photography.
Survivors include her son Guy Wood of Senoia; daughter, Carrie Samantha Chapman and her husband Dorian of Anniston, AL; grandchildren, Wyatt Chapman, Morgen Chapman, and Dakotah Wood; a great-grandchild, Savannah Wood; brother, Ronnie Cheek of Senoia; sisters, Betty Jo Butcher of Sharpsburg, and Karen Tinsley of Senoia; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
