Muriel Annella Bailey, born December 28, 1945, and died June 29, 2024.
She hails from Parottee, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Queens, New York and Palmetto, Georgia, the daughter of Caswell Brown and Ivy Brown, the 5th of 11 children. The gracious farmer, entrepreneur, and homemaker grew up in Jamaica, where she immigrated from to the USA in the 1980s, in search of greater opportunity for her children and family. Ever supportive of our family ideas, Muriel enjoyed dancing and singing, humming really, her spiritual and gospel music, as she went about her daily life. The eternal optimism, who was always willing to tell you the truth.
She is survived by 6 siblings, Verna, Rosie, Marvie, Errol, Sharon, and Mackie. Muriel is also survived by her 3 children, Courtney, Dean and Ann, 10 grandchildren, Shanique, Kashieve, Terran, Azariah, Deanna, Ayanna, Joshua, Tyrell, Kerran, and Soraya, and 2 great-grandchildren, Iris, and Tyran.
