Miriam M. Harris

Mrs. Miriam M. Harris, 93, of Senoia, widow of the late Willie Hugh Harris, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Ansley Park Health & Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 4, 1932, in Haralson, Georgia, Mrs. Harris was the daughter of the late Wilbur McCullough and Mittie Ruth Turner McCullough. She was a member of Haralson Baptist Church, and retired from Southern Mills. Mrs. Harris cherished her family and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook who delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones and had a particular fondness for strawberry milkshakes. Additionally, she had a passion for flowers and enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth David Harris, Sr., and her brothers, Talmadge E. McCullough and Richard M. McCullough.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Harris; daughters, Linda Harris Thigpen (Frank), and Lynn Harris Chapman (Mike); 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Senoia City Cemetery with her grandsons serving as Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
