Melissa Jane (Higgins) La Beau

Mrs. Melissa Jane La Beau, 55, of Moreland, died Friday, May 12, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice.

Born May 25, 1967, in Atlanta, she was a daughter of Cheryl Hobby Dennis and the late Johny Higgins. Melissa was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church, she had a big heart and loved helping others. She enjoyed going to the beach, camping, and the outdoors. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kayla Marie Lowe, a son, Jeremy La Beau, and a granddaughter, Kinsley Lee Stroud.

Survivors include her husband, David La Beau; sons, Justin Munson, David Stroud (Megan), and Jonathan La Beau; her mom, Cheryl Dennis; brothers, Todd Lowe and Ricky Lowe (Brenda); and grandchild, Ayden Skidmore.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Rehoboth Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. The family requests that those in attendance at the service dress casually but respectfully.
