Maynard Thomas Brown

Mr. Maynard Thomas Brown, 72, of Newnan, died Saturday, October 5, 2019 at his residence.

Born December 20, 1946 in Carrollton, he was a son of the late Russell Brown and the late Beulah Meek Brown.  Mr. Brown was a member of Living by Faith Church and was very knowledgeable about the Bible.  He was a former member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and song leader.  Mr. Brown loved music and taking care of his yard and was known for his enjoyment of a good meal and a nap.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Janice Brown; sons, Brian Brown and Allen Brown (Lisa Barlow), all of Newnan; daughters, Lori Patrick and her husband David, Rhonda Groves, all of Newnan, and Jennifer Ford of Morrow; grandchildren, Madison Patrick, Kimberlee Patrick, and Chandler Patrick; nephews, Don Evans and Billy Kilgore; nieces, Jan Daniels; sisters-in-law, Dale Evans and Hellon Evans; and numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Terry Calhoun and Reverend David Patrick officiating.  Interment will follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Don Evans, Don Skipper, Steve Bradley, Jesse Cole, Pat Campion, and Brandon Watts.
