Mrs. Mary Jean Canterbury, age 88, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at home surrounded by her loved ones.
Mrs. Canterbury was born on June 29, 1932 in West Monroe, LA to the late Floyd Holloway and the late Betty Phillips Holloway. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Franklin Canterbury, Sr.; sister, Helen Smith; brother, Woodrow Holloway.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh Jr. and Gretchen Canterbury of Cumming, GA, Danna and Lisa Canterbury of Griffin, GA, and Michael and Tammy Canterbury of Jonesboro, Ga; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dale Holloway; grandchildren and their spouses, Lauren and Aaron Grijalva, Wendy and Andy Wright, Clair and Devon Martens, Blake and Dana Canterbury, Holly Canterbury, Alan and Amy Canterbury, Kelli Canterbury; and great grandchildren, Casen Grijalva, Calista Grijalva, Mia Wright, Grayson Wright, Jack Canterbury Milo Canterbury, Ryder Canterbury, Judah Canterbury, Briella Canterbury and Beau Martens.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at First Baptist Jonesboro with Minister Allen Davis officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
