Mrs. Maribelle Pollard Wade, 80, of Newnan, died Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born July 20, 1944, in Summerville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Roy David Pollard and the late Emma Belle Ashworth Pollard. Mrs. Wade was a dedicated member of Unity Baptist Church for many years and attended the Agape Sunday School Class. She worked for many years as an accounts payable and payroll clerk until her retirement in 2007. Mrs. Wade was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was affectionately know as “Nanny” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Sidney William Wade, her brother, Rudy David Pollard, and her sister, Jacqueline Gail Strickland.
Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Ann Wade, and Melanie Lynn Wade, both of Newnan; grandchildren, William Hubbard (Tori), Sarah Hoek (Dylan), Andrew Hubbard, and Jackson Wade; great-grandchildren, Bentley Hoek, Brycen Hoek, Hanley Hubbard, Shilo Hubbard, and Cas Hubbard; sister-in-law, Syble Ross; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
