Lynda Sue (Williamson) Hayes

It is with great sadness that the family of Lynda (Sue) Williamson Hayes of Newnan, GA announces her passing on Saturday September 26, 2020 at the age of 68.

She grew up in Sylacauga, AL where she graduated from B.B. Comer Memorial High School. Her father was known for stories full of wit and wisdom which she appreciated. Her senior yearbook quote reflected a parable to remind others of James 2:15-17. “Pray for pace and grace and spiritual food. For wisdom and guidance, these are good. But don’t forget the potatoes.”

She is survived by her two sons Christopher Pitts and Jeffrey Pitts, and daughters Cynthia Golembeski (Leonard), Connie Nelson (Allen) and Jammie Bommer, grandchildren David, Grace, Theodore and two great-grandchilden. And dear friends Ann Boyd and Jean Stone.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years James Hayes and her parents Jesse Marlowe Williamson and Bertha "Betty" Williamson.
