Mrs. Eula Joyce Cook, 74, of Newnan, widow of the late Thomas Dewey Cook, died Friday, April 15, 2022, at her residence.
Born June 3, 1947, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late J. Q. Parker and the late Ida Lee Turner Parker. Mrs. Cook was of the Baptist Faith and was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. She enjoyed watching “her soaps” especially Days of Our Lives, reading, and flowers. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ruth Johnson and Shirley Emory, and a grandson, Jeffery Scott Harrell.
Survivors include her sons, Bernard O’Dell Parker, and David Scott Harrell (Theresa Harper), all of Newnan; daughter, Kimberly Diane Cook (Adam McGaha), also of Newnan; grandchildren, Cheyenne Rampley (SSGT Larry Rampley, US Army), and Gabriel McGaha; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Rampley.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor William Harless, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 18, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
