Joyce Christine (Holcombe) Anderson

Mrs. Joyce Christine Anderson, 86, of Newnan, widow of the late Marshall Bennett Anderson, died Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Southwest Christian Hospice in Christian City.

Born April 23, 1934 in Scottdale, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Mack Holcombe and the late Carrie Wages Holcombe.  Mrs. Anderson was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church and was retired from the CDC.  She loved the Lord and enjoyed fellowship with her Church family.  She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her friends and family.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennie Mack Anderson, and her brother, Vernon Crawford.

Survivors include her son, Tim Anderson (Julie) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Rae Anne, Analiese, Brialyn, Ryan, Brittany, and Bailey; and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in Hillcrest Chapel with Deacon Andy Carden officiating.  Interment will be in Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountain.
