Johnny Cleveland Calhoun, 75, of Hogansville, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Newnan Piedmont Hospital, surrounded by family.
Born December 21, 1948, in Moreland, he was the son of the late Johnny Calhoun and the late Mary Calhoun. Johnny and his wife owned and operated J & J Pinestraw. They retired in 2009 after the death of their son, Johnny Mathew Calhoun. He was also preceded in death by, granddaughters, Jordan Calhoun Hitchcock and Alyssa Calhoun; great grandson, Baby Peanut; and brother, Jessie Calhoun.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeanette Calhoun; children, Tammy Crain (Sam), Andy Calhoun (Carissa) and Jason Calhoun (Kelly); grandchildren, James Bishop (Kimberly), Jeanette Seaman (Patrick), Samantha McCoy (Zach), Steven Calhoun, Victoria Calhoun, Cherokee Calhoun, Tabitha Calhoun, Dylan Calhoun, Kendall Calhoun, Nickoli Calhoun, Johnny F. Calhoun, Jewell Calhoun and Jordan Calhoun; great grandchildren, Braxton, Adalyn, Samuel, Dominic, James, Jr., Emma and Grayson; sisters, Bobby Adams and Sarah Newborn; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers, Andy Calhoun, Steven Calhoun, Samuel Crain, Jason Calhoun, Dylan Calhoun, Zack McCoy and Patrick Seaman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 with Reverend James Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home on Thursday.
