Mr. Jerry Allen Creel, Sr., 72, of Palmetto, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at his residence.
Born November 2, 1947, East Point, son of the late Joseph Eugene Creel and the late Agnes Elizabeth Scott Creel. Jerry loved his family more than life itself. He loved vacations, holidays, birthdays and anything that would bring his family together. He was the rock and centerpiece of his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He was a jokester and could make up a song like no other. He loved making others laugh. There was never a dull moment when he was around, always the life of the party. Jerry married the love of his life and he and Brenda were married for 54 years. He was a loving daddy and “Poppy” to his children and grandchildren. Jerry served as a Deacon and Music Leader at Community Baptist Church in College Park, Ga. for nearly 40 years. He and Brenda have been members of Providence Baptist Church in Rico, Ga. since 2016. Jerry was a successful business owner of Creel Floor Covering for 52 years. Jerry was well loved because he loved well. If he saw anyone in need, he would move heaven and earth to meet that need. He will be deeply missed by us all.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Creel; daughters, Stacy Walden (Craig) and Brooke Kirby (Byron); sons, Jerry Allen Creel, Jr., ”Jay” (Wendy) and Hal Creel (Kim); grandchildren, Heather, Halie, Hope, Hunter, Dustin, Kyndal, Kinsey, Autumn, Karly, Braelin, Lance, Callie, Jamie and Corey; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Eli, Braiden, Baylin, Ella, Heidi, Payton, Brinley, Caroline, Ty, Lane, Kallen and Blakely; sister, Beverly Goss; and brothers, Tony Creel and Johnny Creel.
