Mr. Herbert Hoover Hornsby, 59, of Brooks, died Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his residence.
Born January 14, 1964, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Herbert H. Hornsby, Sr., and the late Mary Ann Burdette Hornsby. Mr. Hornsby loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He liked to hunt and fish and ride his motorcycle. Mr. Hornsby loved Georgia Bulldog football and Braves baseball and wrestling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Hornsby.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sandra Hornsby; daughter, Veronica Hornsby of Brooks; sons, T. J. Hornsby (Lindsie Piper) of Sharpsburg, and Bradley Hornsby (Jaden McCoy) of Whitesburg; brother, Jack Hornsby of Brooks, sister, Leah Turner (Darron) of Locust Grove; grandchildren, Graecyn Hornsby, Bradley Hornsby, Jr., Oliver Hornsby, Blakeley Hornsby, and Kylie Hornsby; his aunt, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his fur babies, Sampson, and Pepper.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to attend both the visitation and the funeral.
