Mrs. Helen Oliver Milsap, 86, of Newnan, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her family, after suffering with debilitating illness for many years
Born July 16, 1933 in Waverly Hall, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late James Wilburn Oliver and the late Beulah Leigh Self Oliver. One of 13 children, she spent many years as the caregiver for her mother, who lived to be 105 years old. A member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church, she was always happy to help family members, neighbors and friends. Mrs. Milsap enjoyed baking and made wonderful cakes, she also enjoyed working in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joey Ficarino and six siblings.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Howard A. Milsap; daughters, Denise Stanley and Tammy Pate (Charles), all of Newnan; brothers, Hubert Oliver and Horace Oliver; sisters, Dot Gordon, Ruby Pierce, Shirley Highnote, and Jeanette Clark; grandchildren, Karra Booth and Lauryn Pate; great-grandchildren, Madison Booth and Nathan Booth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
With concern for the safety and health of our family and friends, the family will hold a private graveside service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating.
