Mr. Frank Amos McKoy, Jr., 79, of Newnan, died Friday, January 6, 2023, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born July 23, 1943, in Newnan, he was a son of the late Frank Amos McKoy, Sr. and the late Reba Hendrix McKoy. Mr. McKoy was a veteran of the Unites States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He was an ordained minister and was a member and the founding pastor of Liberty Baptist Church. Frank worked as a commercial pilot for many years and served as a missionary in Mexico. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Elaine McKoy; and a brother, Mike McKoy.
Survivors include daughters, Melanie McKoy, and Monica McKoy, both of Newnan; brother, Fred McKoy (Debbie) of Newnan; grandchildren, Daphne Gilmore, Chelsea Maddox (Eddie), and Gracie Gilmore (Arron); and great grandchildren, Adalynn Maddox, Eddie Maddox, and Stetson Brumby.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at the graveside, in Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Stan Rogers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fellowship Christian Center, 415 Pete Davis Road, Newnan, GA 30263, in memory of Mr. McKoy.
