Mrs. Eris Hendricks, 85, of Newnan, widow of the late Buford Hendricks, died Sunday, June 5, 2022, at her residence.
Born May 4, 1937, in Roanoke, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Gaut Head, and the late Iowa Mitchum Head. Mrs. Hendricks was a member of Centralhatchee First Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and talking with friends. She loved to cook, but also enjoyed going out to eat. She also enjoyed working in her garden, growing vegetables, and flowers.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Hendricks (Debra) of Newnan; Jennifer McCollum (Jon), also of Newnan; brother, James Edward Head of Roanoke, AL; sisters, Margie Llewellyn of Knoxville, TN, Edith Adamson of Rock Mills, AL, Nancy Hill of Roanoke, AL, and Joan Lester of Newnan; grandchildren, Christopher Knott, Chasity Brockway, Julie Elizabeth Bruce, Jeffrey Scott Hendricks, and Tabitha Amber Ivey; 7 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor James E. Head officiating..
