Donna Louise (Quick) Parrish

Donna Louise Parrish, a loving and devoted mother, nanny, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Newnan, on September 4, 2023. Born on October 21, 1958, also in Newnan to the late Paul L. Quick and the late Margaret L. Quick. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Morgan Sarah Hunnicutt.

Donna was a dedicated professional, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Benton House for 12 years. Her work was more than a job, it was a calling. She was a natural caretaker, a role that she embraced not only in her profession but in her personal life as well. Her selfless nature and deep empathy allowed her to provide comfort and care for those who needed it most. Donna's passing is a profound loss to her family, friends, and community. Her spirit, embodied in her family, will continue to inspire, and guide them. She will be deeply missed, but her love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Donna was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a proud mother to her daughters, Donna "Sheri" Flannigan (Jason) and Ashley Verdon (Chris), stepchildren, Dee Parrish, Alan Parrish, Brian Parrish, and Yvonne Jones. Her role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren Kiley Cox, Caraline Cox, Joshua Cannon, Adam Flannigan, and Tommy Flannigan. She was also blessed to meet her great-grandchild, Myles Hunnicutt, who brought a new level of joy into her life.  Donna is also survived by her sisters, Lucy Neal (Roger) and Charlotte McIntyre (Bobby), and her brothers, Emory Quick, Billy Quick (Debbie), and Tommy Quick (Debra), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Hannah officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at the funeral home.
