Deborah "Debbie" Kay (Ledbetter) Perkins

Mrs. Deborah Kay “Debbie” Ledbetter Perkins, 68, of Grantville, died Saturday, July 4, 2020 at her residence.

Born January 8, 1952 in Atlanta, she was a daughter of the late Artis Record Ledbetter, Sr., and the late Edna Creel Ledbetter.  Debbie was a homemaker and had been a member of Grantville Baptist Church.  She always took care of her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and holiday get togethers.  She was sassy and bossy, and never met a stranger.  Debbie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be greatly missed.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Ledbetter, and Gary Ledbetter.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jerry Perkins; son, Michael Perkins of Grantville; daughter, Wendy Holcomb (Eddy) of Newnan; brother, Terry Ledbetter (Joan) of Rome; sisters, Jenny Marler (David) of Grantville, Linda Zaske (Tommy Jones), also of Grantville, and Tracy Turner (Alan) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Talon Holcomb (Melanie), Hunter Holcomb, and Isabella Holcomb; great-grandchildren, Elijah Holcomb and Ava Holcomb; sisters-in-law, Deb Ledbetter and Mitzi Ledbetter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Hillcrest Chapel with Reverend Jerry King officiating.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
