Mrs. Catherine Mae Holtzclaw McWhorter, 94, of Newnan, passed away, Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Newnan Health and Rehab.
Born May 29, 1929, in Whitesburg, she was a daughter of the late Lee Holtzclaw and the late Hallie Mae Pyles Holtzclaw. She was one of the oldest living member of Mills Chapel Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. McWhorter; and 4 brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Gloria Traylor (Roger) and Cathy Cox; grandchildren, Chris, Adam, and Marty; 10 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held, at the graveside, in Oak Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, with Pastor Scott Harmon officiating.
