Carol Gregor Obituary

Mrs. Carol Ann Geno Gregor, 85, of Newnan, left this life to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2020.

Born January 18, 1935 in the Bronx, New York, she was the only child born to the late Dominic Arthur Geno and the late Agnes Gordon Geno.  Immediately after high school, she went to work as a secretary as a result of trade school training she received in high school.  At one time she even worked at the Empire State Building. She met the man who would become her husband Andrew Joseph (Andy) Gregor while at the roller rink with friends. Together they would have six children. She worked for Southern Bell telephone company as a switch board operator, first for a short time, then returning for a longer period, in all, about six years. Carol's life would forever change the day she met and committed her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. She would gladly and enthusiastically share her faith and testimony and loved to attend church and worship her Lord. She spent much time doing volunteer work for causes she believed in, including supporting her political party, doing church work, and for several years, teaching parenting classes at the Coweta Pregnancy Services in Newnan, Georgia. She also served in the lunchroom at a local Christian school for several years. Carol also enjoyed painting and has left behind several pictures that she created.  Carol will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including her church family at Westside Baptist Church in Newnan. We look forward to meeting her again in the presence of the Lord Jesus who died to save all who believe in Him for salvation, where no one will have to be sick or feeble and where we will have new bodies that will never grow old.  In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Andy.

Survivors include her daughters, Marianne Dias, Barbara Coles, and Dolores Woodruff and her husband Mark;  sons, Andrew Gregor, Michael Gregor and his wife Susanna, and Chris Gregor; sister-in-law, Annette (Gregor) Cangialosi; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
