Mr. Bruce D. Lee, 80, of Newnan, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Corinth Road Personal Care Home.
Born October 5, 1939 in Whitesburg, son of the late Carl Lee and the late Claudine Pierce Lee. He was a member of First White Oak Grove Baptist Church. Bruce was a roofer for 65 years and took great pride in his trade. He owned and operated Bruce Lee Roofing, and was well known in Coweta County for his work. Bruce had a passion for deep sea fishing and enjoyed going to Carrabelle, FL with family and friends to fish. He also enjoyed gardening, watching wrestling, the Atlanta Braves and spending time with family and friends. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Brown and brother, Billy Lee.
Survivors include his loving wife and caregiver of 35 years, Jean Lee; daughters, Brenda Lee Bearden of Newnan, Ann Asbury (Kenny) of Grantville and Renee Lee of Carrollton; sons, Dan Lee (Candy) of Moreland, Steve Lee of Newnan and Tim Rogers of Grantville; sister, Shirley Turner of Newnan; grandchildren, Brandon McDowell (Pamela) of Moreland, Nicole Smith (Tony) of Waco, Jessica Lee of Moreland, Cody Howard (Whitney) of Moreland, Scotty McDowell (Nancy) of Cumming and Jason McDowell of Franklin; and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Chapel with Preacher Dewey Spivey and Pastor Bobby Cason officiating. Interment will follow in First White Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home Hillcrest Chapel.
