Mr. Bobby Lewis Flournoy, 77, of Newnan, died Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Born October 27, 1943, in Gay, Georgia, he was a son of the late Hubert Flournoy and the late Lucile Hancock Braswell. Mr. Flournoy was of the Baptist Faith and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Flournoy was a generous and loving family man with a strong Christian faith. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and playing cards and the lottery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cayla Fraino, and siblings, Sara O’Neal, Hubert Flournoy, Tom Flournoy, Gladys Bishop, and Hugh Flournoy.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vallori J. Flournoy; daughters, April Matlack (John) of Newman Lake, WA, and Carla Flournoy Sjostrom (Jon) of Buford; son, Andy Flournoy of Spokane Valley, WA; stepson, Craig Adams (Amy) of Newnan; brothers, Charles Flournoy of Luthersville, and Billy Flournoy of Moreland; sisters, Evelyn Spivey of Newnan, and Mae Barber of Luthersville; grandchildren, Jennifer Wycoff, Ashley Flournoy Cochrane, Sarah Matlack, Tristan Chiru-Danzer, and Lauren Chiru-Danzer; great-grandchildren, Isaic Cochrane, Bridget Cochrane, and Sage Vaughn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021, in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Winston Skinner and Pastor Jason Veitch officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
