Billy Joe Clevenger

Billy Joe Clevenger “Poss,” 88, of Jonesboro, GA passed away on February 15, 2023, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA.

Billy was born on July 21, 1934, to the late Richard Willis Clevenger and Ellen Nora Bell Mollett Clevenger in Manila, Arkansas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter Mollie Ann Flournoy, sister Mamie Tidwell, brother Norman Clevenger, two infant siblings, and OohBoo (K-9 Pal).

Billy is survived by his daughter Valerie Hartness, son and daughter-in-law Billy and Ruthie Clevenger, and sister Linda Huff. Billy: fondly known as PawPaw, adored his 5 Grandchildren, 10 Great – Grandchildren, and 6 Great – Great – Grandchildren.

Billy enjoyed fishing, playing the lotto, and spending time with his K-9 best friend, BamBam! Following his wishes, there will not be a service, but a private family ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held at a later time.
