Mrs. Betty Jean McKenzie, 90, of Fayetteville, widow of the late Milton A. McKenzie, died Monday, September 28, 2020 at Benton House of Newnan.
Born October 23, 1929 in Monroe, she was a daughter of the late Sanders Lamar Boss and the late Lucille Mobley Boss. Mrs. McKenzie was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She loved anything outside and was a master gardener. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ransom, and a brother, Lamar Boss.
Survivors include her grandson, Alan McKenzie and is wife Danielle of Newnan; great-grandchildren, Ashlee McKenzie, Caleb McKenzie, Aiden McKenzie, Abigail McKenzie, and Ansley McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the graveside at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2020, in Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City with Pastor William Hawk officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Hillcrest Chapel.
