Mrs. Barbara Juanita Parker, 91, of Newnan, widow of the late Ralph Eugene Parker, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 peacefully at her home, where she lived with her daughter Joyce and her two precious cats.
Born August 15, 1929 in Douglasville, she was a daughter of the late John Henry White and the late Jackie Mae Wynn White. Barbara was beautiful and will be remembered for her incredible charity for others and unconditional love toward everyone. She accepted all who came her way with kindness and genuine empathy for their path in life. Her influence will be felt for years and years as her zest and enthusiasm for life was contagious and spilled out into everything she did. Her tremendous warmth and heartfelt smile will never be forgotten. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by daughters, Martha Ellen Norris, and Betty Mae Williams; and a son, Charles Loudermilk.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Ann Penny, Jean Melton, Joyce Cortez, and Charlotte Smith; sisters, Lucille Croft and Ruth Carlson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 in Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Jake Gould officiating. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
