Annette Harvey Dill, 97, of Sharpsburg, completed her journey to heaven and into the arms of her Lord and Savior, one week before her birthday, on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Born on March 24, 1926, in Rupert, GA, to the late Charlie Edwin Harvey and the late Ella Mazie Garrett Harvey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Henry Dill; son, Ted Dill (Jenny); grandson, Jeff McGuffy (Bethany); great grandson, Scott Yeager; sister, Lucille Harvey Callahan; brothers, Lynwood Harvey (Vivian), Morris Harvey (Ethyl), and Hiram Harvey (Lois).
She is survived by her granddaughter, Christina Dianne Dill Wilson; grandson, Roger Henry Dill; granddaughter, Stacy Jones; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Annette was married to love of her life, Roger, until his death in 1980. They lived in East Point, until she moved to Sharpsburg in 1983. She retired from the CDC after 24 years of service and received many accommodations upon retiring. She also worked at Fort McPherson.
She was a member of the New Gate Church in Sharpsburg. She enjoyed singing and served as church treasurer for a time. She was a fine Christian woman, who never said a cross word and loved everyone. She was a Bible scholar who could quote scripture and was always willing to listen and help those in need.
Annette spent the last 9 years of her life at Southland Health and Rehabilitation in Peachtree City, where she was given the utmost care. The family would like to thank all the nurses, attendants, and Hospice personnel for their kindness and caring spirit.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Daniel Wibel officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery in Albany. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home on Wednesday.
