Mrs. Anne Paige Culberson, age 88, of Griffin, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2019. Mrs. Culberson was born on September 27, 1931, in Adairsville, GA to the late M. W. (Red) and Lucille Sharpe Paige. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C.L. Culberson, son-in-law, Sam Howson, and brother, Charles Paige.
Mrs. Culberson attended schools in Bartow County, GA and was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Griffin, where she was once an active member of the Chapel Class.
She is survived by daughter Susan Schwanbeck and husband, Dale, of Griffin, GA; daughter Shawn Howson of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Andrew Schwanbeck (Tabatha) of Peachtree City, GA, Nicholas Howson (Kristen) of Denver, CO, John Schwanbeck (Jodi) of Douglasville, GA, Anna Davis of Chattanooga, TN, David Howson of Atlanta, GA, and three great-granddaughters, Alexis Schwanbeck, Isabella Schwanbeck, and Poppy Schwanbeck. She is also survived by sisters Doris Maines of Englewood, OH, Hazl Brumby (Mason) of Cedartown, GA, brother Jimmy Paige (Janet) of Cartersville, GA, as well as nine nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Culberson was an avid reader from a very young age and passed that love for reading and writing down to her only granddaughter. She loved her daughters, grandchildren, and siblings passionately and was happiest when she was surrounded by family.
Interment will be in East View Cemetery in Adairsville, GA. Memorial service arrangements are pending and will be announced at a later date.
