Anita L. Noble, 76, of Moreland, Georgia, and formerly of rural Bartlett, passed away the evening of Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Piedmont-Newnan Hospital in Newnan, Georgia.
Anita Louise Garrett was born on February 24, 1946, to Ivan and Mary (Emert) Garrett in Oswego. As a young girl, she grew up and attended schools in the Chetopa area, graduating from Chetopa High School. On July 11, 1964, Anita and William F. “Bill” Noble were united in marriage at the United Methodist Church in Chetopa. For many years, the couple farmed and raised cattle in rural Bartlett. Anita also worked for the county clerk at the Labette County Courthouse in Oswego. After Bill passed away in 2017, Anita moved to Moreland, Georgia, to be closer to her family. While living in the Bartlett area, she was a member of the Bartlett United Methodist Church. Her family was very important to her, and she loved spending time with her brothers and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Noble, on October 31, 2017; and one grandson, Jordan Noble.
Survivors include her son, Doug Noble and his wife, Jamie, of Independence, Kansas; daughters, Terri Strickland and her husband, Dewayne, of Moreland, Georgia, and Anita Michelle "Shelly” Pippin, also of Moreland; grandchildren, Casey Strickland, Josh Noble, Jeremy Noble, Jacob Noble, Judd Noble, and Christopher Privitt; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob Garrett and his wife, Dixie, of Altamont, Kansas, and Butch Garrett and his wife, Beanie, of Welch, Oklahoma; sister, Shirley Brader of Parsons, Kansas.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the Bartlett Community Church. Burial will follow at Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 7 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Chetopa.
