Mrs. Alice C. Arrington, 75, of Newnan, passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Moreland.
Born February 25, 1950, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late John William Carroll and the late Mamie Lou Harnden. Alice graduated from Newnan High School in 1969. She was a nurse’s aide with Beaulah Nursing Home for over 7 years and later worked in the warehouse for Clover Electronics. She was a longtime member of Oaklawn Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano, which she learned to play by ear and singing hymns and gospel music. Above all, Alice loved her family and was the best MawMaw and Granny to her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her, first husband, John William Robertson; 2nd husband, John Arrington; daughter, Kathy Lynn Sewell; sisters, Jean Thompson and Christine Nichols; and brother, Roger Carroll.
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Denney; grandchildren, Hope Allison (Gerry), Rhett Sewell (Kyleigh), Zachary Sewell, Weston Sewell (Lina), Trevor Sewell and Micah Sewell; great-grandchildren, Dean Allison, Maeve Allison, Heath Allsion and Lucas Sewell; and sisters, Brenda Jo Sparks (Merle) and Linda Noojin (Wayne).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor David Arrington officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service, on Friday, at the funeral home.
