Mr. William Christopher Wells, 89, of Tyrone, died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Southland Health & Rehab in Peachtree City.

Born April 4, 1932, in Vidette, Georgia, he was a son of the late Herman Wells and the late Dora Lucille Tankersley Wells. Mr. Wells was a graduate of Furman University and worked as a music minister for his entire career. He served several area churches, including Cascade Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, before finishing his career at Shadnor First Baptist Church in Union City. Mr. Wells was a member of the Atlanta Choral Society and had sung all over the world.

Survivors include his brother, Marion F. Wells (Patsy) of Tyrone; nephews, Ty Crowe, and Herman Wells, Jr.; and several great nieces and great nephews.

The family will hold a private service at Eastside Cemetery in Statesboro, Georgia at a later date.
