Walter Lawrence Kaurin III "Walt", 62, of Newnan, passed away with his son by his side, Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.

Walt was born October 12, 1958 in Bronxville, New York to the late Walter Lawrence Kaurin, Jr. and the late Mary Moore. He traveled during his youth due to his father's career. The family settled in Peachtree City, Georgia in 1971 after his father's passing. He graduated from Fayette county high school in 1976. He tried multiple jobs before settling in at Atlantic Southeast Airlines in 1982. Where he met many lifelong friends and stayed until they were transitioned over to Delta Airlines in 2007. He stayed at Delta until his passing. His world revolved around his son, daughter-in-law and 5 grandchildren. He was a father of 1 grandfather of 5 and friend to all.

He was also preceded in death by his step father, Victor Moore and sister, Diane Mooney Hoff.

He is survived by his son, Walter Matthew Kaurin (Brittney); grandchildren, Gianna, Walter "Collin", Bayleigh, Ellie, and Hannah; sisters, Mary Lynne Moore and Kathy Lemieux; nieces Jenny and Melody; nephew, Patrick; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
