Walter Junior Hernandez, 28, of Newnan, died on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Born March 11, 1996, in Mineola, New York, he was a son of Dalila Palencia Gonzalez and Walter Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez loved playing video games and enjoyed spending time with his sisters. He liked being outdoors and taking walks. He loved college football and New York Yankees baseball. He also enjoyed going to the beach and surfing. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Judith Ana Chacon.

Survivors include his son, Athony Layne; his mother and stepfather, Dalila, and Wilson Gonzalez; sisters, Valeria Gonzalez, and Rebecca Gonzalez; his father, Walter Hernandez; aunts, Edlin Reyes, and Wendy Leon Castillo; his maternal grandfather, Juan Menjivar Palencia; and his beloved dog, Ziggy.

Funeral services will be private.
