Venice A. Wriston, 83, formerly of the Whipple community in Scarbro, WV, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her daughter's home in Newnan, GA. She was born on April 19, 1940, in Charleston, WV, to the late Buster Dickerson and the late Cloheo Williams Dickerson. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lawrence Pell, Sr. and Glenn Wriston; and siblings, Marilyn Gay Wright, Eula Jane Stover, Yvonne Dickerson and Marvin Dickerson.

Venice being a true Appalachian woman loved the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, watching the birds and squirrels and visiting lighthouses.

She is survived by her children, Rosetta Blair (Thomas), Evangeline Hull and Lawrence Pell, Jr.; grandchildren, Greggory Graley (Petra), Rachel Brown (Adam), Norman Graley III (Melissa), Robert Hull and Shawn Hull; great grandchildren, Abigayle Brown, Gabriella Brown, Gage Brown, Alex Hull, Brionna Hull, S. J. Hull, Jordan Hull, Dominic Hull, David Butler (Terry), Julien Butler (Nichole), Steven Butler (Melissa), Angela Butler, Justin Graley, Tatiana Dewberry (Donny), Kylie Jones, Kayden Graley, Ally Edwards and Melissa Ackerman; and many great-great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
