Theresa Gail Lee, 54, of Newnan, passed away at her residence on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Born on November 27, 1971, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of Joanne King Lee and the late Lewis Marvin Lee. Theresa lived in a way that was unmistakably her own. She marched to the beat of her own drum, and that independent spirit was joined by a loving and giving heart that touched the people around her in lasting ways. Theresa worked as the staffing coordinator at Benton House of Newnan and was later promoted to the administrative assistant at Benton House of Douglasville. In those roles, she was loved by the residents and families, a reflection of the kindness and care she brought to her work each day. She was a member of First Baptist Church Franklin. Outside of work and church, Theresa found joy in life’s familiar comforts and simple pleasures. She loved taking trips to the beach, was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and enjoyed watching TV with her mom. She also loved cats, which were another part of the warmth and affection that marked her life. Theresa will be remembered for her generous nature, her individuality, and the love she shared so freely. Her memory will remain a blessing to those who knew her and loved her.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her children, Megan Kelley (Joe), Justin Crockett, Allison Yates (Austin), and Emily Crockett (Tyler Smith); brother, Ronnie Lee; sister, Sandy Hynson (Mike); grandchildren, Maggie Kelley, Olivia Kelley, Sawyer Yates, Caleb Yates, Callie Yates, and Andie Kate Crockett; and her special grand dog, Winnie.
