Obituary

Captain Terry Lee Wallis, USAF Retired, 76, of Callaway, Florida, died on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Rivertowne Care and Rehabilitation in Columbus.

Born July 26, 1948, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Cecil Wallis and the late Eldreda Lord Wallis Talley. Captain Wallis earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of West Florida and an MBA from Central Michigan University. He retired from the United States Air Force after a distinguished 20-year career. Terry enjoyed fishing, boating, the beach, and just being by the water whether lake or ocean. He enjoyed collecting antiques and chatting about genealogy, history, or swapping military stories. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth William Wallis.

Survivors include his children, Michael Wallis of New York City, Crystal Ogden (Philip) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Amy Foran (Jonathan) of Dothan, AL; grandchildren, Layla Ogden, and Emma Ogden; Mei Wiggins, mother of Michael, and Yong Wallis, mother of Crystal and Amy.

Graveside Funeral Services, with Military Honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, with Reverend Gordon Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Hillcrest Chapel.
