Tamara Michelle "Tammy" Thompson, 44, of Newnan, died Friday, February 9, 2024, at her residence.

Born on September 20, 1979, in Newnan, she was a daughter of Jimmy R. Stevenson and Linda Dianne Standard Stevenson. Tammy spent her professional life as a dedicated hair stylist at Great Clips, where her warm smile and gentle touch became a comforting presence for her many clients. Her colleagues remember her as a friend who uplifted everyone around her. Tammy was an avid lover of the beach, the serenity of the ocean waves and the warmth of the sun on her skin were sources of great joy and relaxation for her. She also found pleasure in shopping and getting her nails done. Family and friends were the cornerstone of Tammy's world. She cherished every moment spent with them, infusing each gathering with laughter and memories to last a lifetime. Her love for sunflowers was evident in the way she lived her life - bright, sunny, and always reaching for the light. She was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Alan "Timmy" Stevenson.

Survivors include her husband, Allen Thompson; children, Kaylee Mabry, Ethan Mabry (Maddie), Ansleigh Borders, Elizabeth Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Katie Thompson, and James Thompson; her parents, Jimmy and Linda Stevenson; brother, Danny Stevenson (Samantha); sister, Janet Stevenson (Rick); grandchildren, Kinsley, Delilah, Loren, Trent, Alani, Hank, JJ, Onyx, and Asta; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Brian Hosmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
