Mrs. Sherry Joan Foster, 68, of Cleveland, Georgia, widow of the late Ray E. Foster, died Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her residence.

Born January 1, 1956, in College Park, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Earnest Lee Houston and the late Mary Magdelene Boyce Houston. Sherry was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ray Edward Foster, Jr. and Richard James Foster.

Survivors include her children, Renee Burgess, Rhonda Hay (Tom), and Rachel Pierce (Chris), Randy Foster, Roy Foster, and Randall Foster; siblings, Shirley Johnson, Carolyn Landers, Edna Reese, Judy Breedlove, Patsy Cody, Nancy Rosser and Deborah Freeman; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Chapel. Graveside funeral service will follow the visitation at Sargent Cemetery.
