Mrs. Sarah Marlene Hawk, 74, of Newnan, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her residence.

Born February 18, 1950, in Newnan, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Harris and the late Nina Vaughn Chapman. Marlene loved to travel, visiting new places at least twice a year. She loved her family dearly and took great care of them. She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Gann

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Buffington; sons, Roger Samuel Gann (Kim), and Charles Avery Gann; daughters, Malissa Arroyo, and Kimberly Deeann Faske (Lawrence); stepdaughter, Rachel Buffington; brother, Lee Hines; sisters, Mary "Becky" Wolfe (Don), and Shirley Smith; grandchildren, Angelina Waters (Jake), Erika Struck (Taylor), D. J. Arroyo (Lindsay), Iliza Arroyo, and Zack Gann; and a great-grandson, Maverick Waters.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2024, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Todd Quintard officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service.
