Ruby Elizabeth Clark Allgary, 84, of Newnan, widow of the late Grant Allgary, passed away peacefully at her residence.
Born August 5, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Wintford Clark and the late Estelle Vaughn Clark. Ruby’s story is one etched with devotion and gentle strength. As a steadfast member of Rebekah Baptist Church in Palmetto, she lived her faith with quiet dignity, nurturing connections and offering kindness in every aspect of her life. Those closest to Ruby recall her unwavering love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, a love woven into countless cherished memories. She found pleasure in life’s small joys: the thrill of searching for treasures on a shopping trip, the simple contentment of scrolling through her phone to connect with friends and family, or the familiar comfort of a favorite television show. In her youth, Ruby’s vibrance was evident to all who watched her bowl with friends and neighbors. The lanes echoed with her laughter, and her energy inspired camaraderie and celebration. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Draiden Nichols, a brother, Lamar Clark, and a sister, Robin Griffin.
Survivors include her daughters, Penny Wolf, April Nichols (Terry), and Cymantha Ferrell (James); brother, Dennis Clark (Debra); sister, Donna Farmer (Frankie); grandchildren, Rois Turner (Ashley), Reid Turner, Kayla Wisner (David), Krystyn Kearns, Megan Whatley, Trevor Nichols, Nicholas Ferrell (Brooke), Brandon Bradley Ferrell (Cody), Sydney Brockhoff; 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Dot Smith (Tony)
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Tommy Freeman, and Chaplain Cleo Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Fairburn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.
